![]() She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Darrell Callison of Blackfoot children: Marilyn (George) Brookshier, Arnold (Teresa) Callison, all of Blackfoot, Donald Callison (Jim McCann) of Sacramento, California and Ronald (Patti) Callison of Blackfoot seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She had a great love of many things, activities and people. She was known for her endless energy, constant enthusiasm and bright and bubbly personality. Barbara was a socialite, volunteering and joining as many clubs and organizations as she could find. She has received many city, state and national awards for both bowling and cattle ventures. A member of numerous bowling leagues, where she held offices and served on boards. A longtime member and leader in the 4-H community. A founder and member of the Idaho Cowbells. She was a lifelong member and past president of the Western States Angus Auxiliary. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, where she was often in charge of the annual cookie sale resulting in her nickname the "cookie lady" best known for her delicious chocolate turtle cookies. From their union four children were born, each in a different state! Barbara and Darrell settled in Blackfoot in 1965 and they immediately began active lives in the community. They honeymooned out west where they fell in love with the scenery and mountains. After a brief courtship the two were married on Januat the Chester Center Church in Grinnell, Iowa. Barbara met the love of her life, Darrell Jack Callison, at a 4-H ice cream social in 1955. As a young girl she worked with her sisters on the family farm. She attended grade school at a country school in Chester, Iowa and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1954. Barbara was born Apto Daryl and Alice Eames in State Center, Iowa the first of 4 daughters. Barbara Francis Eames Callison, 77, of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015, peacefully at her home with her husband by her side, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. ![]()
